"I am for Stanley Aronowitz because someone must speak the truth..." says noted author, historian and author, Professor Howard Zinn
"Every election year, it seems, a candidate emerges and, citing the erosion of our political system, the vapid sound bites, the fleeing from real debate, the fusion of entertainment and political campaigning, declares that it is not worth playing by the rules." Chris Hedges in the New York Times (requires free registration)
"Aronowitz is smart, articulate and running the kind of truth-speaking campaign the two Democrats are incapable of, helping to bring new voters into the political process. He'll get my vote in November. You should consider giving him yours." Doug Ireland in the NY Press
"A sociology professor at City University of New York, Aronowitz says New York needs to shut down its nuclear power plants, cut down on suburban sprawl, invest more in education and develop new plans for taxation and agriculture." Jessica Keltz in the Ithaca Times
On Friday, Oct. 4, the Aronowitz campaign hosted Ralph Nader and the Democracy Rising "The People Have the Power" tour in NYC at rallies calling for a crackdown on corporate crime and no war on Iraq. Speakers included Rep. Cynthia McKinney, Jennifer Daniels, Mary Jo Long, Howie Hawkins, Medea Benjamin, David McReynolds and Leslie Cagan. See the photos from the evening rally at the Ethical Culture Society.
